Cantarrijan Nudist Beach. La Herradura, Almunecar.
Cantarrijan Playa Beach is also an optional nudist beach. I should say at the outset there is no peer pressure to get your kit off and give Mr and Mrs Jenny Talls an airing!
The attraction of this place (Except for the large bits big Nude German ladies appear to have) is the water is crystal clear, 2 great restaurants nearby, and except in the very height of the summer, the beach is fairly empty and easy to get a sunbed, etc.
Take some bread with you, this is a great place to stand in the water to waist height and feed the fish, who come right up to you. Dont worry if you are nude, they dont bite!!

Dont be put off by the nude bit, lots of people keep their kit on (Which is just as well looking at the state of some of them!).
You will need a car to get there as it is about 11Kms from Nerja, with no public transport. Leave Nerja driving away from Malaga, on the coast road, with the sea to your right. There are Km markings along the way, and Nerja is 292. When you get to marker 303 you will see a sign confusingly depicting La Herradurra (See below).

There is a car park here. If the car park is full, then recap your route towards Nerja for about 100 Metres and there is always ample parking there. In the summer you will need to park in the carpark and get the shuttle bus down. Keep your ticket for the return journey.
Any other time of the year you drive down the steep, well maintained, path to the beach. There is ample parking here.

Sunbeds are there all year round, and in the summer there are pedalos.

Both restaurants are of equal quality. They are La Barraca and La Bola Marina
La Barraca does get busy in the summer. The salads are great, and there are great assorted fish dishes. In the evenings there is Local dancing to both watch, and join in. There is a FREE shuttle bus to collect you from as far as Nerja in the evenings. You need to see the adverts to see what is on.
La Bola Marina is my favourite as it tends not to get so busy but the food is just as good. I had the scrambled egg with prawns on one occasion, and this was very nice.
